The next time you decide to take a day trip, I’ve got a great suggestion for a place to visit.
Head down to Reidsville, NC and visit “Lucky City”. It’s a wine/beer shop and bookstore combined into one.
I saw their ads on a local TV station and decided to make the trip a few weeks ago. I was welcomed as soon as I walked into the store by the owner, and took my time browsing all of the products they had. I found some great specialty beers and wines at very reasonable prices.

Lucky City is located in downtown Reidsville near the big monument. It’s about an hour’s drive from Halifax County, and about 30 minutes from Danville.

The free potted meat ad on their webpage is the funniest thing I’ve seen today. I have to get to Lucky City to meet these people!
It really is a fun place to go to. I got a lot of the Carolina Strawberry Ale while I was there, and that’s good stuff.
We’re heading there next Friday for their “Night of the Twisted Pig” event.
