In possibly the worst (and/or funniest) piece of advice since “You should get tickets for the maiden voyage of the Titanic” or “Enron stock? Buy! Buy! Buy!”, our good friend AndyR goes for the jugular by inviting Mr. student to learn the fine art of chainsawing.

That advice should laugh you into stitches. Well, not you, but somebody into stitches. In related news, the Red Cross is asking for donations of blood in anticipation of an upcoming need.

The music starts at 12:00 noon and goes all the way to the “Sanctus Real” concert which runs from 8:00 to 9:30 PM.

FaithFest is a non-denominational day of [...]]]> The weather’s going to be perfect, so head to downtown South Boston and have a great time today. It’s time for FaithFest 2009!

FaithFest 2009

The music starts at 12:00 noon and goes all the way to the “Sanctus Real” concert which runs from 8:00 to 9:30 PM.

FaithFest is a non-denominational day of family, fellowship and Christian music. Local bands will play all day long and there’s lots of activities for kids.

There’s no admission charge and all of the activities are free.

Food will be sold by multiple vendors, and crafters will be there as well. They’ll even have a show by Tinker’s Car Club.

We hope to see you at FaithFest today!

Pepsi Stops Donations to God’s Pit Crew Because of Name

This is going to last about 3 days at most. It will all go back to the way it was and there was a “misunderstanding”. Some people will have job descriptions “adjusted” because of this PR debacle. Pepsi has everything to lose in this and they will fold quickly. In fact, OddsMakers has a 97% chance of this being resolved by “Pepsi’s Biggest Donation Ever!” I CALLED THAT ONE, PEOPLE!

Now let’s get to the bizarre part of this. Take a look at the comment by “ss396″…

I will not drink it ever again and I will urge everone I know when they buy a Pepsi product that Pepsi does not believe in God. I will hurt you, one customer at a time. When I am in a store line and I see someone with Pepsi, I will bring this up. Satan is definately winning.

Oh goodie. One stupid low-level corporate bad decision and this person thinks Pepsi doesn’t believe in God. If I happen to buy a Pepsi, I really do hope that “ss396″ is the customer behind me. I’m not going to boycott Pepsi because some plant manager in Wytheville made a decision that was way above his pay grade.

And now, let’s talk about Satan’s choice of isotonic sports drinks. Clearly, “ss396″ is mistaken on this. Satan clearly has used his dark powers (of insider trading) to assume a controlling interest in Powerade.

Oh to heck with it, Pepsi’s already changed their mind. I’m still publishing this one.
